AboutBail Staff Choice -- Top News Story of 2011
There were plenty of options to choose from in this year's bail news. We were pleased to see donations and community activities in the industry, but when it came to our top news story we couldn't forget the Bad Boys Bail Bonds t-shirt marketing campaign.
The company holds season tickets for the San Jose Sharks hockey team and have worn t-shirts with the Bad Boys logo on them for the the past three seasons. That is, until the HP Pavillion created an "enhanced ticket policy"banning ticket holders from promoting other entities. The bond agency claims that the change in policy was a result of the company's choice to drop sponsorship of the home team's bench and visitor's penalty box, a cost of $70,000 per season.
