COLUMBUS, OH -- While some bondsmen have been having trouble getting defendants and business, there are signs that some bondsmen are getting creative. Bondsman Jon Handler, for example, owns SMD/HLS Bonding Co. At a time when many bondsmen are worried, he is looking to expand and is considering county seats in the Ohio area for his expansion plans.
