Sheehan’s Bondsman Surprised by Bail Measures

KEW GARDENS, NY -- Barbara Sheehan has been acquitted of murdering her husband, yet still spent two weeks in jail before being released. Her release was delayed for at least six days following a paperwork issue regarding bail. Sheehan’s bondsman James Carfora, has told the media that he has worked in the industry for eleven years and has never seen the restrictions he has seen with this case. Although Sheehan was only found guilty of a weapons charge, bail required more than two million dollars in collateral and Carfora was also required to appear before a judge to verify Sheehan’s bail and to provide his signature – measures he notes he has never been required to provide before.
